How would you describe yourself?

I’m a leader, Project&Quality Manager and a trainer with experience in IT, critical telecommunication and digital projects. As a woman in technology, I combine project delivery, quality, and empathetic leadership, believing that an ambitious career is possible without sacrificing freedom or a fulfilling life beyond work. I am actively involved in Women in Project Management community, where I support women in confidently stepping into the world of technology and leadership. In my free time I travel a lot, learn foreign languages, swim, dance bachata and spent time surrounded by dogs.

How did you become a project manager?

As a teenager I joined student organization where I had a privilage of leading the first international projects, I immediately felt that this kind of tasks are appealing to me and the rest of the story is a blend of hardwork, some good luck and right people on my path. I decided to go for Business University, I joined Project Management Institute, gained first certificates and spent hours volunteering to get as much experience as PM as possible.

If you have one tip to give to a new woman project manager, what would you say?

“Do it scared” - there will be moments when you will feel lost, not self-confident and you might think you are there in your role by accident, but it is not true. So even when you are afraid, even when it feels extremely challanging do it and do not hesitate to speak up. And surround yourself with a community of inspiring and supporting women – it will be your superpower.
