How would you describe yourself?
I'm a man who came to a big city to study and work, gladly found a good job at a big company. A passion for learning and growth made me get out of my comfort zone at some points in my career inside of the company, in one of that I decided to become a change maker, I mean a Lean Specialist, but this is what it is. I'm a person responsible to change process and environment to improve the organization, reduce wastes of time, material and people. Started with small improvements projects, discovered agile methods, and falling in love fo project management. Now I am running to improve myself as a PM and as a person.
What do you enjoy most as a project manager?
I enjoy coordinating teams and delivering value to the company and team.
What do you think is the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a project manager?
Well, more than a challenge, the more interesting thing is to be a leader and influence people to achieve results. Whether at work or in my volunteer activities at Project Management Institute (PMI) I could observe different leaders’ behaviours. It nurtures me to be a better leader to create a safe environment, to overcome my roadblocks for better results.
How has your project management experience helped you in your personal projects and life?
I have learned to create my life roadmap. It helped me to learn to be prepared for my personal goals and for the risks it can appear.
Do you have any resources to recommend?
I want to recommend the book Choosing you WOW by Scott Ambler and Mark Lines from PMI. Even if I have some knowledge in Lean and project management, I wanted to learn more. It is an easy-to-read book to explain complex content.
