Caroline Nyambura Thuo
How would you describe yourself?
Project Management specialist and Technology generalist. I believe everyone can bring out their ingenuity if provided with the right environment. Agile methodologies resonate with my personal convictions in terms of people & Interactions over processes and tools. If I was not a Project Manager, I would have been a kindergarten teacher.
Why did you become a project manager?
The profession ‘’sought me out’’ so to speak. In the early days of my career, I was constantly coordinating business and technical people for a service delivery to Technology customers. This coordination organically morphed into Project management long before the role existed in my organization. So when the role finally became a reality, I knew I was meant for it.
What do you think is one skill needed by a project manager?
If Business people speak ‘red’ and Technical people speak ‘blue’ a project manager MUST speak ‘Purple’. BE the BRIDGE.
What is your next step as a project manager?
My next step as a project manager is to coach teams on Agile ways of delivering value to customers.
