How would you describe yourself?

I am passionate about human leadership, people’s development and sustainable projects. I have lived in four different countries (Spain, UK, France and Mexico), love working in international multicultural environments and I am eager to learn something new every day. I am glad to have performed different roles throughout my career and, therefore, having gained a broad perspective that is very useful for my current position leading a team of project managers in charge of ensuring a proper quality management along the whole value chain of wind energy projects, from sales phase until handover to customer. This involves coaching the team, ensuring customer satisfaction and leading through transversal non-hierarchical leadership, which requires empathy, diplomacy and the ability to make agreements.

What do you enjoy most as a project manager and leading other project managers?

I love being involved in Projects because of two main reasons:

o   Projects are all about people: People are at the center of projects, working together as a team towards a common goal. In this sense, I enjoy the interactions inside and outside the organization, feeling the sense of belonging to a team, facilitating people’s development and learning from one another.

o   Projects can transform ideas and strategies into real value to people, businesses and communities: The right combination of people, ideas, projects and delivery can make wonderful things happen. It is very rewarding to be involved in renewable projects that can have a positive long-lasting sustainable impact on the communities and countries where they are installed.

How has your project management experience helped you in your personal projects and life?

Both in projects and life, it is good to move forward step-by-step, connecting the dots, understanding the global picture, the interactions among the different elements/people and their impact on the different alternatives considered.

What is your next step as a project manager?

I am going to be more active in sharing content, ideas and reflections about sustainable projects, social impact and governance, trying to find a good balance among doing, learning and sharing.
