Otema Yirenkyi is a passionate leader with more than 20 years of experience leading global teams, transforming organisations, and delivering business results within the technology and telecoms sector. As Vice President of Global Engagement, Otema drives PMI’s customer centric sales and marketing channels. She focuses on stakeholder growth and customer delight to solidify PMI’s global impact through regionalization. In orchestrating PMI’s end-to-end go-to-market approach, Otema is responsible for empowering and supporting PMI’s global network of stakeholders, chapters, and volunteers to scale and enable them for greater impact.
Most recently, she founded Nexinnova, leading the acceleration of scale ups for tech- and technology-enabled companies and ecosystem-based companies in Africa. Previously, she was a senior leader at Vodafone and Microsoft.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in the United States; a Masters of Arts degree in Development from the School of Oriental & African Studies (SOAS) at University of London, UK; and a Post Graduate Certificate in International Banking and Finance from New York University in the United States.
