How would you describe yourself?
I am a PMP-certified experienced IT Project Management Practitioner with over 2 years of experience. I bring a unique combirnation of project management expertise and certification to the table. I have 2+ years of experience in defining and executing project with my PMP certification, demonstrate my commitment to understanding best practices in project management. I have a proven track record of developing and executing projects in linve with strategy, collaborating with cross-funcgtional teams, and driving business value. My ability to manage full-scope projects and lead change at the intersection of technology, business, and transformative processes, has been key to her success in achieving organizational objectives. I am equally an Information Systems Engineer at Orange Cameroun.
Why did you become a project manager?
I constantly found myself showing interest in planning activities and trying to follow up with people to deliver on time. Through this and with the help of my professional mentor, I noticed I could become a very good project manager hence my interest in managing projects.
I always love working in a competitive environment where many aspects are handled, and with project management, one gets to cut across many concepts in the IT domain. Having the desire to constantly be in a fast learning environment and working with diverse teams inspired me to become a certified project manager. Being a project manager constantly gives me the motivation to remain self-confident and keeps me on my feet to keep developing new skills.
If you have one tip to give to a new woman project manager, what would you say?
Be self-confident, and don’t second-guess yourself when managing projects and people.
Be bold enough to take responsibility and lead your team independently when handling projects.
What is your next step as a project manager?
As a project manager I intend to continue applying all the principles of PMI and be able to manage programs more effectively hence becoming a program manager.
