How would you describe yourself?
Thanks, I would like to describe myself as a passionate professional who loves to create appropriate value for stakeholders. I am a strong believer of innovation-oriented result-based approach to deliver stipulated outcomes. I am known for my ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, and execute with precision through team empowerment.
I have a strong track record of successfully navigating through complex challenges, working with high-performing teams, and building strong relationship with stakeholders. At the same time, I am highly approachable, collaborative, and committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, respect, and trust. I believe that the success of any organization depends on the collective efforts of its people and culture.
Why did you become a project manager?
Managing project is exiting as well as fulfilling too. I cannot argue about the challenges and stresses but at the same time each completed project produces a sense of sheer pleasure and joy. Another point which motivates me is the continuous learning path and the repetitious use of that learning experiences.
What do you think is the essential skill needed by a project manager?
In my opinion, the fruition score of the project is conspicuously depending on the skillsets belongs to its leader. Other than the primary subjective and communication expertise, one should have leadership traits like good emotional intelligence, adaptive mindset, negotiation and problem-solving skills. I found from my experiences that if you learn any kind of soft skill, it can be handy sooner or later in projects.
What would you like to improve in the future?
There are few things on that list though, however, first is the procrastination for perfection. I have a habit of it which I find needs proper action. Another is the work life balance.
Do you have any resources to recommend to a new project manager?
In my view, being connected and volunteering with the community is very important for upcoming project manager. In recent, I found that HBR Guide to Project Management by Harvard Business Review is a very good read.
