How would you describe yourself?
I am an introvert; I love me time yet enjoy working in a team. I like to analyze and find out the answers when I am not sure. I am also down to earth and always look at things positively. I value open communication and like to discuss issues transparently.
How did you become a project manager?
My first project management experience was to handle mini projects as a fresh college grad junior engineer in production floor. Finding project management interesting and challenging, I started exploring and learning more about it. I then found a new job as project analyst when opportunity struck and slowly becoming a project manager.
What do you enjoy most as a project manager?
Understanding the risks / problems and working out solutions as a team. Getting to know the difference and niche of each team player and bringing the best out of everyone.
If you have one tip to give to a new woman project manager, what would you say?
Don’t be afraid to try when face new challenges and ask questions when in doubt. Keep learning from trying and asking questions.
