Kelvin Pedro Silva in Angola
How would you describe yourself?
I have been transforming professional carriers and companies in terms of Process, Projects, and PMO management for almost 13 years in the Oil & Gas, Public sector, Private Banks, Mining, and IT Sectors. Additionally, I provide training in those areas.
Why did you become a project manager?
I became a PM accidentally because of my way/level of organization and desire to gain new knowledge. My ex-manager suggested I look for PMP certification, which I found very attractive, and from that point, I started diving into it deeper and more deeply.
What are you most proud of?
To help companies and people get better by sharing my expertise and the moment I see them shining.
What would you recommend to a new project manager?
Learn from others, practice a lot of active listing, and improve risk management and communication in all aspects.
Do you have any resources to recommend to a new project manager?
Seek to learn more about “people” because – in the end – we want the task done by the people, and we need to understand the different personalities, how people's minds work, people's behavior causes, and so on.
